Freezing rain that fell overnight took down trees and power lines.
Just under 1,000 customers still don't have power in northern New Castle County.
Earlier yesterday that figure had been near 9,000 customers but dropped to 5,400 by 5 p.m.

Matters are worse in Southeastern Pennsylvania - where PECO is still dealing with more than 400,000 customers without power in the five-county Philadelphia region on Wednesday.
