Speaking this morning on Delaware's Morning News on WDEL, U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx said there are 100,000 bridges in the country that would be "old enough for Medicare...."
Foxx says the government needs to be more proactive than reactive when it comes to maintaining infrastructure.
The House passed a measure this week to keep transportation aid flowing to states through May.
Pres. Obama says that's fine, but he spent the week pressing Congress for a more stable source of funding.
